Repair terms and warranty
These website terms are a practical starting point and should be reviewed against your actual in-store process and legal advice.
Independent provider status
Phone Repair Bristol is an independent repair provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorised by device manufacturers. Product names identify compatible devices only.
Quotes and diagnosis
A preliminary estimate based on customer information may change after inspection. We will explain the expected parts, labour and any diagnostic fee before chargeable work proceeds. Additional work requires further approval unless already agreed.
Device condition and testing
Existing damage, previous repairs, missing components, corrosion, frame distortion or unrelated faults can affect the repair. Where possible, core functions are tested before and after work. Some functions cannot be tested when a device does not power on or is locked.
Parts
Available parts may include different quality or specification options. The chosen option, known limitations and warranty should be explained before fitting. A repaired device must not be represented as retaining its original manufacturer water-resistance rating.
Customer data
Customers should back up important data before repair where possible. Data recovery is not guaranteed. Do not provide account passwords unless genuinely necessary and agreed for testing. We are not responsible for data loss except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Turnaround
Any completion time is an estimate, not a guarantee. Parts availability, diagnosis, testing and additional damage may change the timing. We will communicate material delays where reasonably possible.
Warranty
12-month warranty on eligible repairs. Coverage normally applies to the specific part and workmanship supplied, subject to the written job record. It does not usually cover new physical damage, liquid or corrosion, misuse, software or account issues, unrelated faults, consumable wear, tampering, or work by another repairer. Statutory rights are not affected.
Unsuccessful or uneconomical repairs
Some faults cannot be repaired economically or successfully. Any diagnostic charge, return condition and options should be explained. Board-level and liquid-damage work may involve higher uncertainty.
Collection and ownership
Customers should collect devices promptly after notification and provide proof of ownership or collection authority where requested. Add your actual uncollected-goods process and notice period before relying on this section.
Complaints
Contact the store that handled the job with the receipt or repair reference, device details and a clear description of the concern. The business should be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the device.
